I shot this piece in the late fall of 2019, stringing the balloon letters across my Hollywood CA apartment complex and feeling alone and in despair over the current state of the world - shootings, climate change, child separations - there was so much. The piece was meant to premiere in a 2-person exhibition on April 1, 2020. Due to the coronavirus the exhibition was postponed - yet the work took on even more prescience and importance, I released it over Instagram at the start of the crisis, and the words never felt truer. I shot the video over the course of 24 hours. The balloons share a private feeling in a public place.
